Now, this was an interesting project. A client reached out, asking if I could build a shelf for displaying products in their store.

The twist? All they had was a photo they’d snapped at a craft show. Apparently, they had seen a vendor using this shelf to showcase products and decided they just had to have one. After hearing about me through a friend of a friend, they sent over the picture, confident I could recreate it.

The catch was there were no dimensions, no materials list—just the photo. Using it as a design guide, I customized the shelf to fit the space they wanted to install it in.

I built it out of red oak, and while it turned out great for one of my earlier builds, looking back, there are definitely things I’d do differently now.
